We supply a wide range of industry-leading brands, but our main focus is on Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and Soft Starters as we are the sole distributor for the Frecon Brand. Our selection ensures we have the right drive for every application, from simple fan control to complex industrial automation.

2. Can you provide 3-phase power solutions for locations that only have a single-phase supply?

Yes, we offer specialised VSDs and converters designed to run 3-phase motors using a standard single-phase input, making industrial-grade power accessible in residential or remote areas.

We have 2 ranges available:
1. Single phase 220v in 3phase 220V out typically used for 220V/400V Three phase motors. From 0.4kw -5.5kw
2. Single phase 220v in 3phase 380V used for all 400v Three phase motors. From 0.4kw -22kw

Most of our products come with a standard 12-month manufacturer’s warranty. Please contact us for specific warranty details regarding different product lines.

We understand that downtime is costly. We offer prioritised support for our contract clients and aim to assist all customers as quickly as possible during emergency breakdowns.

Many of our modern VSD solutions feature communication modules that allow for remote monitoring and diagnostics, as well as telephonic support ,helping us troubleshoot issues without always needing a site visit.

Yes, we partner with reliable courier services to ensure our products can be delivered to your site anywhere in South Africa, from major cities to remote mining operations. We also have delivery vehicles available for heavy equipment.

Lead times vary depending on the complexity of the design and component availability, but we typically aim to complete custom builds within 2 days to 4 weeks.

1. What is a Solar VSD, and how does it differ from a standard drive?

Accepted Answer

A Solar VSD is designed to run off DC power directly from solar panels. It includes "Maximum Power Point Tracking" (MPPT) to ensure the pump or motor runs efficiently even as sunlight levels change throughout the day.

2. Can your solar pumping solutions run directly from PV panels without batteries?

Accepted Answer

Yes, our solar pumping systems are designed to operate battery-free by converting solar energy directly into mechanical work, which is the most cost-effective way to move water.

3. Do you offer hybrid systems that can switch between Eskom/Generator power and Solar?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we provide hybrid solutions that prioritise solar energy during the day and automatically switch to grid or generator power at night or during overcast weather.

Our Hybrid systems also offer an assist system that during overcast weather uses the available solar energy from the solar panels and only utilise the shortfall from the grid. E.G.: 65% energy from solar panels and 25% shortfall energy from grid.

These units can also run during the day from solar only, when the grid is not available due to maintenance or power outages.
